The Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) has done a “Lotto Good” for Connecticut, having delivered more than $11 billion to date for many valuable programs and causes. Our financial success reflects sound business planning and a commitment to integrity. In fiscal year 2022, the CLC achieved sales of $1.6 billion, $84 million in Retailer commissions, and returned $402 million to the state’s General Fund. Our partnership with the 2,800 Lottery Retailers, who sell our tickets, is critical. The revenue our Retailers earn from the sale of Lottery products helps to keep their profits and workforce stable. Of equal importance are Connecticut’s local businesses. We purchase services and products from community resources whenever possible and will continue to do so to the best of our ability.
The Connecticut Lottery Corporation is committed to a variety of corporate responsibility initiatives. A strong commitment to responsible gambling is deeply embedded in our everyday culture. Demonstrating the Lottery’s ability to meet the highest standards in our industry for corporate and social responsibility, the CT Lottery was one of the first lotteries in North America to achieve the highest level of responsible gambling standards verification from the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) and the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG).
As we focus on the future, the CLC's mission will remain the same as it has always been: To raise revenue in an entrepreneurial manner for the State of Connecticut, consistent with the highest standards of good public policy and social responsibility, by offering products to our players that are fun and entertaining, and by ensuring the public’s trust through integrity and honesty.
